Your Personality
We go through many stages in life. As we go through these stages, we try to figure out our personal identity. There are a lot of things that make you different from others. One of these things is your personality.
Your personality comes from two places: your genetics and your experiences. These come together to help define who you are. They affect how you view things in your life.
Take a moment to see if you can identify any ways that you are like your parents. What similarities do you see? What differences are there? Are you ‘laid back’ like your mom? Do you get anxious like your dad? Do you get angry like your mom? Some of the similarities you have to your parents are the result of inherited qualities. These qualities usually remain with you throughout your life.
Your environment also plays a big role. Your family interactions, living situation, experiences at school, and interactions with peers have all helped form your personality.
You would not be who you are today without both your inherited traits and your experiences. These two factors make up your unique personality and set you apart from everyone else.
