Setting Boundaries
Creating boundaries is a good way to keep your relationship healthy and secure. Boundaries let each partner know what they are OK with and what they aren’t OK with. Maintaining boundaries allows each one to show the other respect (for their wishes and decisions) and helps to build trust.
If you set boundaries ahead of time, you won’t have to figure out how to handle situations when the pressure is on. It’s much easier to deal with manipulation or coercion when you’ve already figured out what you are and aren’t OK with.
