Title IX Coordinator

Every public college and university is required to have a Title IX Coordinator on staff. The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for making sure that students are not experiencing sexual discrimination on campus. Sexual violence is considered a form of sexual discrimination.

The Title IX Coordinator is here to help you.

He or she can help you file an incident report, make arrangements for living quarters and class schedule changes, or provide you with information about on and off-campus resources such as counseling, legal assistance, victim advocacy, or housing assistance.

He or she is required to investigate if made aware of a potentially hostile environment, even if an official report hasn’t been made.

He or she is required to give you information about:

  • No contact or restraining order options
  • The school disciplinary process
